About Kara

At a young age, I established a personal connection with photography since my father had a Pentax 35mm film camera constantly by his side and an artist mother who trained me to have a keen eye.

I prefer to photograph with film, as it forces me to slow down and really think about what I am about to capture and how I want to go about doing so. There is also nothing like the texture of a film photograph that digital simply can’t achieve.

I am currently based in London where I work as an actor and filmmaker - www.karahakanson.com - I come back Stateside often so those based on that side of the pond, please do reach out if you would like a session.
